IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!! I feel old as dirt, which I think needs no explanation, and I’m here to give you some celebration idioms and birthday phrases.

On your birthday, you might want to let your hair down and get a little bit wild! I don’t because I’m old, and I would rather cosy up with a good book, and eat some comfort food.

For my birthday this year, I’m hoping to sleep in, watch something good on TV, and spend some quality time with friends and family!

How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

  • old as dirt: old. Super, super old.
  • let your hair down: party!
  • comfort food: food that makes you feel happy and warm, like a hug in food form
  • sleep in: wake up later than normal
